Rachel Becker
Poet, writer, educator

Rachel Becker is a Boston-based writer whose poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in print and online journals, including Barely South Review, The Portland Review, The Rappahannock Review, The Shore, Maudlin House, The Tusculum Review, and RHINO. She has written for the Boston Globe’s Living Arts section, where an interview and several reviews appear. She is also an assistant poetry editor for Porcupine Literary: A journal by and for teachers.

Rachel has over two decades of teaching and facilitation experience at Newton South High School, where she teaches English and Creative Writing. She is a poetry candidate in Lesley University’s MFA in Creative Writing program and holds an M.Phil from the University of Oxford, as well as a B.A. from Vassar College. She lives in Roslindale with her husband, two kids and a very protective black cat.
